The musings of a middle-aged, back of the pack, often injured, semi-retired ultra runner. Running, biking, camping or hiking, I do whatever I can to live an outdoor life. "The older I get, the better I was."
I know what you mean about others just not understanding........
I loved that! I never mention running to anyone I work with, but a few of them figure it out from the sweaty clothes I sometimes show up in when I arrive at meetings or sometimes just from my build. If they ask, I admit to being a runner but don't elaborate. There is a woman I work with who runs marathons and another who does Tris. It's all they talk about and I have to admit, it annoys me greatly... And I'm a runner myself. So I don't impose my running on others. I get it all out by blogging about it :)
I'm at the point that I don't even tell other runner what I'm doing, even they think I'm nuts. Good luck in the lottery, I'm in as well.
Yep, been there.... it is so tempting to do a bit of surfing from the office and I'm just a semi-obsessed runner, not an ultramarathoner! Good luck in the lottery!
What's on your mind?
